Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how Presu processes personal data when you visit our website, join our waitlist, create an account, or use our proposal platform.

Presu is software for B2B teams to create, send, and track interactive proposal experiences with buying signals, permissions, approvals, and collaboration features.

1. General Information

1.1 Presu as Data Controller

For the purposes described in this policy, the data controller is Presu ("we", "us", or "Presu"). You can contact us at hello@presu.com or privacy@presu.com.

If you view or interact with a proposal shared by one of our customers, that customer is usually the controller of the information you provide in connection with that proposal. To understand how your data is handled in that context, please review the customer's policies.

In all other cases described below, Presu is the controller and the following provisions apply.

1.2 Scope

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection law, including the GDPR where it applies.

1.3 Your Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, withdraw consent where processing is consent-based, and object to certain processing, including direct marketing.

To exercise these rights, contact privacy@presu.com. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country of residence or place of work.

1.4 Retention and Deletion

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is required by law or needed to resolve disputes.

1.5 Automated Decision-Making

We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, that produces legal or similarly significant effects solely on the basis of website or platform activity.

1.6 Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted transmission over TLS for website and application traffic.

1.7 Processors and International Transfers

We use service providers that process data on our behalf for hosting, analytics, email, payments, support, and infrastructure. Some providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.

2. Data Processing on Our Website

2.1 Server Logs

When you visit our website, we collect server log data such as pages visited, date and time, browser type, operating system, referrer URL, IP address, and device information where available.

We use this information to operate, secure, and improve the website. Legal basis: legitimate interest in security and service operation, or consent where required.

Logs are typically deleted within 30 days unless longer retention is necessary for security investigations.

2.2 Waitlist

If you join our waitlist, we process your email address and related signup metadata, such as source page and timestamp, to manage early access and communicate with you about Presu.

Legal basis: consent or steps prior to entering a contract, depending on how signup is presented.

We retain waitlist data until you unsubscribe, your request is fulfilled, or the waitlist is no longer used for its original purpose.

2.3 Contact Requests

If you contact us by email or form, we process the information you provide to respond to your inquiry.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in communicating with prospects and customers, or performance of a contract where applicable.

2.4 Website Analytics and Cookies

We may use cookies and similar technologies to understand how our website is used, measure performance, and improve marketing effectiveness where you have consented or where permitted by law.

Non-essential analytics and marketing cookies are used only with your consent where required. You can withdraw consent through cookie settings or your browser controls.

2.5 Sales Outreach

We may process business contact details such as name, business email, role, and company to contact prospective customers about Presu.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in marketing our services to relevant business contacts, subject to applicable opt-out rights.

3. Data Processing in the Presu Application

3.1 Service Provision

When you use Presu, we process account data, workspace data, proposal content, collaboration data, permissions, approval actions, notes, versions, client records, and related metadata needed to provide the Service.

Depending on your plan, this may include custom links, reusable blocks, team permissions, templates, PDF generation, and CRM or meeting-note integrations.

Legal basis: performance of the contract.

3.2 Registration and Sign-In

To create or access an account, we process profile data such as name, email address, company information, authentication data, and IP address.

Legal basis: performance of the contract.

3.3 AI-Assisted Features

Presu may use AI models to help generate first drafts, suggest content, or assist with proposal creation. Inputs you provide and outputs generated may be processed for that purpose.

Do not submit sensitive personal data in prompts unless necessary and permitted. Legal basis: performance of the contract and, where required, consent.

3.4 Proposal Sharing and Buyer Activity

When proposals are shared, we process access events, views, downloads, approval clicks, return visits, section engagement, and other buying signals configured by the Customer.

Where login or email verification is required before viewing a proposal, we may process recipient email addresses to provide access and security controls requested by the proposal owner.

Legal basis: performance of the contract for Customers; legitimate interests in providing secure sharing and analytics, subject to applicable law for recipients.

3.5 Payment Processing

For paid subscriptions, we process billing details, plan selection, payment status, and tax-related information through our payment providers.

Legal basis: performance of the contract and legal obligations. Payment records may be retained for up to 10 years where tax law requires.

3.6 Product Improvement and Error Monitoring

We may process usage data, device data, and diagnostic information to improve Presu, monitor reliability, and fix errors.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the Service, or consent where required for optional analytics.

3.7 Customer Support

If you contact support, we process the information needed to respond, such as account details, message content, and technical logs.

If you grant access to proposal files for troubleshooting, we process that content only as needed to resolve the issue and delete it when the matter is closed unless retention is legally required.

Legal basis: performance of the contract and, where file access is optional, consent.

3.8 Product Updates

We may send service-related messages about features, security, or account activity. Marketing product news is sent only where permitted by law and, where required, based on consent. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

3.9 Feedback

If you submit feedback or feature requests, we process the information you provide to evaluate and improve Presu.

Legal basis: legitimate interest or performance of the contract.

4. Integrations

If you connect Presu to third-party services, such as CRM systems or meeting-note tools on supported plans, we process the data needed to provide that integration according to your configuration and the third party's terms.

Authorization is granted on a per-user or per-workspace basis and can usually be revoked in account settings or in the third-party service.

5. Cookies

Our website and application may use essential cookies required for security and core functionality, as well as optional performance and marketing cookies where you have consented.

You can manage cookie preferences through our cookie banner or browser settings. Blocking cookies may limit certain features.

6. Social Media

If you interact with Presu on social media platforms, those platforms may process your data under their own privacy policies. We may receive messages, comments, or profile information you send us through those channels to respond to you.
